Forecast global sales

The timescale of this sequence to 2010 is forecast by Procter
& Gamble in figure 3. It implies that there will be about
15 billion items tagged in 2010 and 40 billion pallets and cases.
We consider this forecast to be realistic and show our extrapolation
to 2015 when we believe that one trillion items may be RFID
tagged.
However, this may be as little as 10 -20% of the number of items
barcoded in that year.
